🔗 Share this article Vinted Shoppers Express Displeasure About Size Updates Shoppers are voicing their frustration after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information. This online marketplace has updated its size classifications for female and kids' apparel failing to inform every member regarding the update. Social Media Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present a different size category than originally posted because of the remapping. The company said the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces. They have suggested members to check their listings and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, causing user dissatisfaction. Measurement Approach Updates Before the change, the measurements included one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. Member Experiences One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she explained. Necessary Adjustments Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she said. Service Background The service features exceeding 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK. It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop. This represents another occasion where an unanticipated change to the app has proved unpopular: last year, Vinted reversed a change concerning shipment methods after backlash from users.
